Queenslander backyard face lift
This was a major renovation to an old Queenslander.
The current owners requested an upgrade of a DIY verandah job completed by the previous owners,
to give their backyard a facelift. Initially we blue-boarded and rendered the main exit to the back yard and then commenced removal of the concrete in the backyard. Since there was no clearance for machinery to access the backyard, we had cut the concrete into small squares and then remove it by hand.
We placed a frame & rendered the existing steel posts for a fresher appearance and built a wall on the north side so the owner can mount an outdoor kitchen and fridge later on.
We neatly decked around the columns to give the posts a sense of belonging rather than just being placed in the middle of nowhere and built a nice big step down onto the backyard.
